The 1982 San Miguel Beermen season was the eight season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)

Notable Achievements

• Marte Saldana won Rookie of the Year Honors
• Norman Black wins the Best Import Award during the Reinforced All-Filipino Conference

Season Recap

• San Miguel Beer made it all the way to the finals of the Reinforced All-Filipino versus the Toyota Super Corollas, the Beermen were up 2-0 in the Best-of-Seven series, after losing Games 3 and 4, won Game 5 for a 3-2 lead and a win away from a PBA title, lost the last two games of the series as the Corollas won the championship.
• Invitational Conference, the Beermen were not denied this time, as they defeated Crispa Redmanizers, 2-1 in the Best-of-three series for their 2nd PBA title.
• Open Conference, San Miguel's bid for a third straight finals appearance in the season was halted by Gilbey's Gin, 102-101 in a do-or-die game on December 7, as the Ginmakers reach the finals for the first time against Toyota, the Beermen settled for a third-place finish in the Third Conference.
